walls, colorings dresses, sacred valleys, built churches on palaces, citadels
lost in the heights of you walk them, legendary roads... all the beauty of a
glorious past is drawn around the visitor that arrives in the Cusco: the sacred
city of the Inca and the archaeological capital of America. From 1911 also,
year in that the North American archaeologist Hiram Bingham discovered for the
world the citadel of Machu Picchu, the Cusco has caused the imagination of thousands
and travelers' thousands in the world who you/they venture, every year, in the
millennial Inca Road looking for to crown the summit of this archaeological
monument, one of the most impressive from all over the world.
The city, however, shows many other attractiveness that by themselves would
be enough to attract the tourist: the Square of Weapons, called Huacaypata for
the Inca, the neighborhood of San Blas' artisans, Sacred Domingo's Convent,
built on the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, the palaces of the Inca and of
their court, etc. of archaeological and historical marvels. To the outskirts
of the city they can also be traveled a series of circuits - that, in their
majority, they include the imposing ruins of Sacsayhuaman or of Tambomachay
- in those that the visitor can carry out all type of adventure sports and to
be participant of the most spectacular religious festivities in the continent.
